Prenatal Breastfeeding

TRUTH TIME: YES, BREASTFEEDING IS NATURAL, BUT IT'S NOT ALWAYS INSTINCTIVE. PREPARING AHEAD OF TIME WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF HEARTACHE (AND NIPPLE PAIN!)

In this one-evening class you will be familiarized with the instincts you and your baby already have and cover:

  • The lowdown on milk production
  • How to position & latch your baby onto the breast
  • Reading your baby's cues & feeding according to you and your baby's unique rhythms
  • How to know your baby is eating well
  • Preventing engorgement, soreness, and other potential problems (and what to do if it happens)
  • An eye to the future: how/when to use a pump, storing expressed milk, and weaning
  • Pumping, bottle feeding, formula, and supplemental feeding systems

  • 3rd Tuesday evenings, 6:00-8:00pm
  • Group class: $75 per couple
