A Mother Is Born: Giving birth to a whole new aspect of your identity
We all do it: spend 9 months preparing for the birth of a child, go to prenatal yoga, take classes/read books/spend far too much time on mommy boards on the internet in anticipation of The Big Day. Then we spend (on average) 12-24 hours in labor, and finally--a baby is born!
But what happens next?
In the following days and weeks we realize that we’ve spent all this time and energy preparing for the birth of a baby, and none preparing for the birth of a whole new aspect of ourselves. When a baby is born, so is a mother, yet there is not nearly as much support for that process as there was for the baby’s birth.
This is where The Circle comes in. This is the time to focus on how us mommies are holding up through this whole new parenting gig. Let’s figure it out together. You belong in The Circle. We hope to see you there.
